Welcome to Troop 131
It is the mission of the Boy Scouts of America to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
Scouting provides a well-charted map for helping boys become better men, and Boy Scout Troop 131 of Mchenry provides a path whereby boys can advance in rank, learn life skills, and become the leaders of tomorrow by using their Scouting skills in citizenship, responsibility, respect and reverence each day.
Troop 131 is a boy-run troop allowing our Scouts to plan their own meetings, campouts, calendar, and activities. The adult volunteers’ help to make their plans happen.
We are always interested in adding Scouts to our Troop. When a boy joins the Troop we welcome the family as well. Many parents find themselves having as much fun as the Scouts! Please feel free to contact us for more information or click here to read more about our Troop.
